I worked at SpeakOut for about three years, during that time we were to busy with other projects to finish off our own site. So I was very happy to have the SpeakOut website as one of my first freelance projects. SpeakOut and I continue to have a strong working arrangement.
The Engineers Without Borders Australia Challenge (EWB Challenge) is a national design program for first-year university students. Students work in teams to develop conceptual designs for sustainable development that contribute towards real international development projects.
Ausco Modular is the leading provider of modular buildings in Australia. They went through the process of re-branding and wanted a site to reflect the new look. Michael Luke, a marketing contractor at Ausco designed the new site and liaised with me to build the site in Drupal.
People, I run into keep asking what I am working on, I suppose it's a bit like discussing the weather or asking how are you. So I thought I would post a couple of short blogs about some of the projects I have been working on. Current projects will have to go live before they are worth discussing.
The upgrade of CSS Creator is complete. After failing with the previous attempt and having to roll back, success is good feeling.
Oz in 30 Seconds a site by SpeakOut, designed by Damien, built by me with a little help from my friends John and Daniel, has been released and should be promoted in media around Australia over the next few weeks. The basic concept of the site is to allow members to upload a 30 second video, from which a chosen video will be played on national prime time television during the lead-up to the next federal election.
I managed to get cool little drop down menu working with just a couple of lines of code for a site I am developing.
After years of neglect I finally got round to updating this site. The focus of this site over the years has mainly been PHP, MySQL and web development tools and experiments. From now on the focus of the site will lean towards Drupal, web development, work, CSS and Aikido.
